ANACAM MAGAZINE - n.3 luglio | settembre 2020
Il 66,7% delle famiglie a luglio ha subito una riduzione dei redditi rispetto ai propri standard In July, 66.7% of families experienced an income reduction cial indicators of Italian SMEs is posi- tive, with its constant trend since 2007, despite the varying degrees across the country. The improved financial debt / equity ratio (from 116% in 2007 to 63% in 2018) and the decrease in in- terest rates, reduced the rate of finan- cial charges on gross margins, partially offsetting the slowdown in profitability. Although payment delays worsened again in 2019, the percentage of com- panies with extreme payment delays, i.e. at risk of non-payment or insol- vency, was close to minimum in De- cember 2019 (4.9% of the total). Unfortunately this may not be enou- gh to manage the impacts of covid-19. Cerved’s predictive model calculates a 12.8% decline in revenues for Italian SMEs in 2020, only partially mitigated by the 11.2% in 2021. In the event of new waves of contagion in autumn, the contraction would be 18.1% in 2020, balanced by an increase of 16.5% in 2021. Although these are aggregate da- ta, the results of the “Termometro Ita- lia – Famiglie - Index Italy - Families” survey is food for thought. Despite the improving trend, in July 66.7% of households experienced an income reduction, which was an extre- me reduction for 16.4% of households. Over 55.3% of families have been for- ced to use their savings. 73.8% view the next few months as a trying period in which sacrifices will be necessary, 15.9% of Italians will struggle with ba- sic needs such as health and education. Clearly, in light of these data, fami- lies’ propensity to invest will be low, including infrastructural investments. However Italian existing lifts are the oldest ones in Europe and the moder- nization process cannot and must not be discontinued, at the cost of serious safety risks. The safety issues will ne- cessarily be leverage, alongside all pos- sible incentives by the government and local authorities in order to alleviate the users’ financial burden. 10 PRIMO PIANO d i A l e s s a n d r o C at t e l a n
