Ecco allora diffondersi sistemi alternativi a quelli normali, co- me i comandi tipo “touch-less”. Esistono e sono già diffusi i sistemi che permettonodi “coman- i n italy , during the lockdown, lift maintenance was never discontinued because it was considered essential. Fear of contagion has forced the introduction of behavioural rules and the study of technical solutions that have not been widely used so far. What solutions have been developed to reduce contagion in lifts? One of the most delicate aspects is related to the lift control device. When you “touch” a button, you touch a surface which, inevitably, many other people have put their hands on, making it potentially “contaminated”. Gloves must be worn, hands must be continuously disinfected, yet some people is still reluctant to use the normal control devices. Hence the spread of alternative systems such as “touch- less” devices. For ‘touch-less’ what is meant is the option of avoiding contact with normal lift control devices because, in almost all cases it is still necessary to touch something. There are magnetic systems, which require a metal object, even a coin, to give to the lift a normal operation, and voice systems, where contact is replaced by a voice operation. Systems that allow you to “control” the lift via smartphone are already widespread, a sort of IOT application for lifts that I like to call “smart-lifting”. An alternative option to the touch-less operation could be the installation of pedals in the car and on floor landings. Finally, in my humble opinion the most sophisticated option is substituting the conventional push-button devices with holograms, which would avoid contact with any surface. Obviously, all the previously examined systems require normal control devices.
