During installation, the following parameters must be entered in the inverter: 1. High speed ... Hz (in old lifts the speed was calculated as the average of empty ascending and descending speed, therefore a speed of revolutions / motor 1440 (48 Hz) was taken. 2. Maximum speed ... Hz. (This parameter must be similar to point 1). 3. Motor rated current, motor speed and motor cos φ (nameplate values). It is necessary to: • Do the balancing test: if the system is not balanced at 50%, do the ascending test at full load, read the maximum value of the starting current, increase it by 10% and enter it in the max deliverable current parameter. • Carry out the following practical tests: - Remove a phase from the motor and make a call (the brake must not be opened as the opening must be controlled by the inverter and only occur if there is current on all phases, otherwise the motor has no torque and moves where the load drags it). - Disconnect the brake power supply and make a call, the motor has torque but must stay still; if it moves, check the calibration of the maximum current of the inverter and the brake springs. - Make the acceleration, deceleration and low speed calibrations until you have the required comfort. - Remember that the low frequency approach speed and the motor braking current at zero speed cause the inverter to heat up and shorten its life. - If the inverter is properly calibrated and of the correct type, the space travelledinlowspeedandthe stopping level both with no load and full load is practically the same. The life span of an inverter depends mainly on the power components and therefore on the input diode bridge, bus capacitors, IGBT of the output stage and on the life of the cooling fan. To prolong the life of these components as much as possible, attain to the following requirements: • The working temperature must be as low as possible (and in any case always above 0 ºC), for which it is necessary to: - install in a cabinet with adequate air exchange; - put the braking resistor outside the cabinet; - check that the cooling fan is working correctly. Furthermore, if you make sure the fan is not active during while idle, its lifespan increases; - keep the heat sink clean, if it is dirty the heat
