ANACAM MAGAZINE - n.3 luglio | settembre 2020
But it wasn’t strictly smart working, it was actually managing work from home, a hybrid created by the government with a series of decrees. One of the many challenges of the Coronavirus emergency was to implement this working method rapidly, providing the workers with the necessary tools. The investments in technological infrastructures over the years have now paid off ensuring our companies’ full efficiency. A survey by InfoJobs, which we thank for the infographic services provided to ANACAM MAGAZINE, showed that 72% of companies interviewed resorted to smart working during the emergency, 56% of which stated it was their first experience.“From the employee management point of view, the success of smart working depends on the ability of the managers to be objective-oriented and no longer activity-oriented” explains Monica Malavasi, Head of Organizational Development in Network Training. Companies were certainly not culturally prepared to manage their employees remotely, and neither were the employees who reported having experienced issues such as having to share devices with members of the family, the need to organize work differently, and the lack of human relationships with colleagues. However, 71% of employees hope to continue smart working 1 or 2 days a week in the future. “This forced acceleration caused two fundamental changes - says Katiuscia Bertelle, area manager of Orienta Employment Agency. The first being the overcoming of technological, organizational and cultural constraints in all sectors. The second, which is very dear to me, has led to greater trust between colleagues and company management. The ability to work in ‘Smart’ mode - adds Bertelle - has allowed many of us to work in a protected environment while not feeling alone”. A serious reflection on the future of smart working is certainly a must in the coming months, but after this huge step forward, it will be difficult to go back. lavorare da casa: si può, ma serve un cambio culturale P r o e c o n t r o d e l l o s m a r t w o r k i n g T h e p r o s a n d c o n s o f s m a r t w o r k i n g Working from home: it is possible, but only with a cultural change 29
