ANACAM MAGAZINE - n.4 ottobre | dicembre 2020

For offices (floor to floor height 3,3 m): • As for hotel, but rated speed of the lifts up to 2,5 m/s. 4. For offices (floor to floor height 4,0 m): • As for hotel, but rated speed of the lifts up to 4,0 m/s. • Annexes D and E provide also examples for calculations and simulation methods and relevant reports, which are very useful. Together with the building data in Annex F, for keeping track also of the assumptions on which all the results obtained were based. • Annex G  terminates the standard, with a very simple flowchart that suggests how to iterate the process for better results. All the valuable technical information provided in the body of the standard, highly informative for already expert users, is here supplemented by clever and fairly “easy to utilize” Charts. Those Charts in the many annexes, exceptionally, make this standard far more SMEs friendly than other standards SBS, EFESME and their experts normally deal with, at least in the lift sector. It is also to be noted that, from our point of view, one of the most valuable suggestions provided in this standard is the simple, but meaningful, “Flowchart” in the last Annex G. Probably, not exceptional for the more knowledgeable users but, indeed, extremely important for the SMEs. Because SMEs are less familiar with the need to implement recorded procedures on how to appropriately reiterate the lift selection process, until the result meets the customer expectations, which is the final objective of all this work. To conclude, SBS, EFESME and their experts do look forward to being further involved, soon, in ISO and CEN Working Groups that are willing to introduce a similar approach for the development or revision of other standards to be intended, also, as SMEs friendly as the ISO 8100-32.
