All the results achieved in 2021 have a positive sign. On the operational level, the number of accredited subjects increased by 8% - over 2,100 bodies and laboratories - and assessment days by 11.4% to almost 19 thousand - for a total of over 600 inspectors and technical experts involved. These results were also achieved thanks to the remote verifications, adopted for the Covid emergency, but which then proved to be an opportunity to make accreditation activities more efficient even in the less restrictive phase of the pandemic. With regard to the costs of accreditation, the new tariff in effect from January 1 provides for a reduction in costs which for accredited subjects brings an overall saving of over 1 million euros. Despite the lower revenues, an operating surplus of more than 300,000 euros is expected for 2022. Also in 2021 there is an increase in accreditation activities for the bodies operating on the market: the ones that verify the electrical systems (176 accreditations) and the ones that carry out the periodic verification of the measuring instruments (144 accreditations) are ranked in the first places. The bodies that carry out lifts verifications are in third place with 78 accreditations in 2021, confirming the 2020 trend; in sixth place the bodies that carry out checks on lifts and hoists (15 accreditations). As highlighted by the 2021 Annual Report, accredited certifications of environmental and energy management systems increased in both cases by 15% compared with 2020. The ISO 14001 environmental management systems certifications issued to companies reached 29,181 units, those of energy management systems ISO 50001 to 3,393 units. The increase in green certifications is a clear sign of the response of companies towards the ecological transition and greater awareness of the environmental impacts of their activities, also in light of the inclusion in the PNRR of the “do no significant harm” principle, i.e. no intervention must cause significant damage to the environment. “The volume of quality certifications of goods and services is a significant measure of the improvement of traditional production processes and of the focus on innovations, which is often pre-emptive.” stated the president Massimo De Felice. “The requests for accreditation to guarantee the certifications - added De Felice - provide fundamental indications for calibrating economic policy actions, and encouraging paths of both virtue and profit. The data collected by Accredia in 2021 are comforting. Gli organismi che effettuano la verifica degli ascensori sono al terzo posto con 78 accreditamenti nel 2021, confermando la tendenza del 2020; al sesto posto gli organismi che effettuano verifiche su ascensori e montacarichi (15 accreditamenti). Come evidenziato dalla Relazione annuale 2021, le certificazioni accreditate dei sistemi di gestione ambientale ed energetica sono aumentate in entrambi i casi del 15% rispetto al 2020. Le certificazioni dei sistemi di gestione ambientale ISO 14001 rilasciate alle imprese sono arrivate a 29.181 unità, quelle dei sistemi di gestione dell’energia ISO 50001 a 3.393 unità. L’aumento delle certificazioni green è un chiaro segnale della sensibilità delle imprese verso la transizione ecologica e di una maggiore consapevolezza degli impatti ambientali delle proprie attività, anche alla luce dell’inserimento nel PNRR del principio “do no significant harm”, cioè nessun intervento deve arrecare danno significativo all’ambiente. “Il volume delle certificazioni della qualità di beni e servizi è unamisura significativa del miglioramento dei processi di produzione tradizionali e di attenzione, spesso anticipatoria, alle innovazioni” ha dichiarato il presidente Massimo De Felice. “Le richieste di accreditamento a garanzia delle certificazioni – ha aggiunto De Felice – forniscono indicazioni fondamentali per calibrare azioni di politica economica, e incentivare percorsi virtuosi e di profitto. Con questo schema di lettura, i dati rilevati da Accredia nel 2021 sono confortanti. Risultano anche in chiara coerenza con le potenzialità di sviluppo garantite dal Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza.”
