Le stime a livello europeo indicano che il consumo medio degli ascensori Lift’s energy consumption is twofold: one during the ride and the one for the connected electrical equipment on while on standby, not unlike a TV set. When it comes to energy savings referring to an apartment building lift, it should be remembered that, on average in Italy, its impact in terms of energy consumption is marginal compared to heating, air conditioning, lighting in common areas and household appliances, systems which in some cases are always or almost always kept on, i.e. for very different times from the typical average running time a lift which can be estimated at a total of half an hour per day in the standard, small building of the Italian market (3 or 4 floors), but which in most cases seldom exceeds four hours. This is true whether we are dealing with electric (i.e. “rope”) or hydraulic (i.e. “piston”) lifts. Estimates at European level indicate that the average consumption of lifts out of the total consumption of buildings equipped with them is around 4%, but in Italy the impact is likely to be even lower. It should be added, lest it be overlooked, that the lift, moving by 48 attual ità d i G i u s e p p e I o t t i How much does our lift actually cost us? Ascensore, quanto ci costi… davvero?
