2022 was the year of recovery, but 2023 brings great news. After the closure of LIFT Italia and the attempt with MADE Expo in 2012, an international trade fair is returning to Italy. From 15 to 17 November, GEE - GLOBAL ELEVATOR EXHIBITION will be held at Fiera Milano, which promises to be a major event. Anacam is a partner of GEE, and during the three-day event will organise a seminar dedicated to accessibility and the elimination of architectural barriers with qualified speakers who will address the issue from different points of view. Another event we are particularly keen on is Interlift, which will be held from 17 to 20 October in Augsburg. Anacam, in cooperation with EFESME, is organising a 700-squaremetre exhibition space to facilitate the presence of all interested companies at the fair, offering numerous organisational and logistical advantages. Representatives from both trade fairs will be our welcome guests during the Anacam national assembly, and they will not fail to update us on new developments. And here is the third event, by no means least important, that you absolutely cannot miss. Once again this year, from 15 to 17 June, at the Palace Hotel in Milano Marittima, on the Italian Adriatic coast, the 52nd Anacam National Assembly will offer interesting technical and regulatory update seminars, business opportunities, and moments of conviviality to share with colleagues and families. We look forward to seeing you there! Finally, a reflection on the topic to which we devoted the entire first issue of 2023. Undoubtedly, not only are we not ready as an industry, but probably, and I think this applies to many of us, we don’t even know what BIM is exactly. The intention, as an association, is to support all member companies in gaining some awareness of how design is evolving, what tools we have at our disposal, and how we should move forward, so that we are not caught unprepared when the time comes. Yes, because BIM will affect us all, even if we only deal with maintenance: I will not say his will happen tomorrow, but certainly in the near future. The truth is that BIM is already here, and we must, as always, keep up with the times. 6
