15 with horizontally sliding ones (Art. 13): see analogous point in 104111; • replacement of the machinery (Art. 14.4): the following paragraph has been added: «in the absence of a protection device against uncontrolled movements of the car with open doors in compliance with point 5.6.7 of UNI EN 8120:2020, the use of two hydraulic valves in series electrically controlled in parallel is required for stopping (downhill)»; • replacement of the control valve unit (Art. 14.5): analogous addition inserted in point 14.4; • replacement of the suspension ropes (Art. 17): see analogous point in 10411-1; • replacement of the limiter (Art. 18): see analogous point in 104111; • guardrail (Art. 24): see analogous point in 10411-1. UNI 10411-11 The changes introduced in UNI 1041111 (Electric lifts compliant with the Lift Directive) concern: • variation of the static load (Art. 6): ° As was already the case for UNI 10411-1:21, the variation of the static load on the counterweightside rope section is now also considered. A description of T* has also been added; ° In point 6.2, it is specified that in cases where the modifications produce a load variation of 10% or less on the load-bearing structures of the building, point 5 does not need to be applied; • moving or inserting equipment within the machinery spaces (Art. 9): the reference standard is now UNI EN 81-20; • replacement of the control panel (Art. 11.1): when replacing the control panel, the following must be ensured: ° stop accuracy; ° emergency light on the car roof; ° device for stopping the machinery within 1 m; ° comply with point 5.6.7 of EN 8120. In its absence, a device must check the mechanical elements of the brake and, if they do not open during travel, it must cut off the power supply to the machinery; • replacement or addition of components to the control panel (Art. 11.2): when replacing a speed regulation device or in the absence of a device against uncontrolled car movements, a device must check the mechanical elements of the brake and if they do not open during travel, it must interrupt the power supply to the machinery; • replacing and/or adding one or more car door mechanisms or landing door locking devices (Art. 12): ° if the system is not equipped with the device referred to in point 5.6.7 of UNI EN 81-20, stationing must take place with the doors closed; ° if the landing and car doors are motorised, a network of photocells must be installed; • replacement of hinged car doors with horizontally sliding ones (Art. 13): see analogous point in 10411-1; • replacement of the machinery (Art. 14): ° the reference standard is now UNI EN 81-20: it is required to assess the adherence and safety factor of the ropes if the new machine does not comply with the original; ° in the absence of the device against uncontrolled movements, if both mechanical parts of the brake do not open during travel, it must be possible to interrupt the power supply to the machinery; • variation of speed (Art. 15): analogous prescriptions already present in the previous edition but now the reference standard is UNI EN 8120; • increase of the shaft with eventual increase of the travel space (Art. 16): analogous prescriptions already present in the previous edition, but now the reference standards are: ° UNI EN 81-20:2020; ° UNI EN 81-21:2022; • replacement of suspension ropes (Art. 17): see analogous point in 10411-1; • replacement or addition of landing doors (Art. 19): prescriptions similar to the previous edition, now with new references to UNI EN 81-20:2020; • substantial modification of the system (Art. 21): same criteria as 10411-1. UNI 10411-12 The changes made to UNI 10411-12, concerning existing hydraulic lifts complying with the Lift Directive, concern the following aspects: • variation of the static load (Art. 6): see analogous point of 1041111; • moving or inserting equipment within the machinery spaces (Art. 9): see analogous point of 10411-11; • replacement of the panel control (Art. 11): when replacing the control panel, provision must be made for: ° stop accuracy; ° device for stopping the machine within 1 m; ° compliance with point 5.6.7 of EN 81-20; • replacing and/or adding one or more car door mechanisms or landing door locking devices (Art. 12): see analogous point of 10411-11; • replacement of hinged car doors with horizontally sliding ones (Art. 13): see analogous point of 10411-11; • replacement of the machinery (Art. 14): in the absence of a device against uncontrolled car movements, the use of two hydraulic solenoid valves in series, electrically controlled in parallel, is required for the descent stop;
