FOR DONATI SPA, expansion in Europe is a clear and well-defined goal. With the recent acquisition of the Elvacenter Group, which is active in Belgium and the Netherlands, the company from Settala (Milan) is further consolidating its presence in Europe with over 16,000 items in stock, 5,000 active customers, aggregate revenue in excess of 38 million euros and almost 100 employees. This operation not only expands the range of products and services on offer but also creates new logistical and commercial opportunities, making Donati an even more solid reference point for its customers. We talk about this with Alessandro Cattelan, CEO of Donati. WHAT MADE DONATI CHOOSE ELVACENTER AS A STRATEGIC PARTNER? The acquisition of Elvacenter is part of a very specific expansion strategy. Supported by a private equity fund, Donati is aiming for growth in two ways: organically, by opening new branches, as we have done in Italy, France, and Germany, or by acquiring related, solid and well-structured companies that guarantee more immediate results. Elvacenter represents precisely this second route. We chose the Belgian/Dutch group because of its distinctive characteristics. Elvacenter is the result of the merger of Kool Elevator Parts, a young Dutch company specialising in urgent orders and with great growth potential, and Elvaparts, a well-established Belgian company and a leader in modernisation packages and customised solutions.
