INNOVAZIONE E TECNOLOGIA DI ALESSANDRO MESSERI* 32 UNA TRASFORMAZIONE SILENZIOSA MA DECISIVA STA CAMBIANDO IL MODO DI PROGETTARE, INSTALLARE E GESTIRE GLI ASCENSORI: DALLA LOGICA “A IMPULSI” DEI SENSORI MAGNETICI A UNA VISIONE CONTINUA E CERTIFICATA DELLA POSIZIONE A quiet but decisive transformation is changing the way lifts are designed, installed and managed: from the ‘pulse-based’ logic of magnetic sensors to a continuous, certified view of position L’EVOLUZIONE DIGITALE NEL VANO CORSA: dai magneti ai sistemi lineari di posizione DIGITAL EVOLUTION IN THE LIFT SHAFT: from magnets to linear position systems THE lift industry is undergoing a quiet but profound transformation, which is gradually shifting the focus of safety from pure mechanics to advanced electronics. In 2014, standards EN 81-20 and EN 8150 introduced programmable electronic safety systems (PESSRAL) and the classification of safety integrity levels (SIL) to which devices must conform. At the heart of this change lie linear position systems, a technology that marks the definitive move away from traditional magnetic status sensors in favour of more sophisticated shaft readers. For companies that have not yet adopted these solutions, understanding the added value of this transition is essential to remaining competitive in a market increasingly focused on efficiency and integrated safety. DATA ACCURACY: A CONTINUOUS VIEW The fundamental difference between older systems and new readers lies in the quality of the data. Whilst magnetic sensors provide ‘pulsed’ information only at the physical magnets, linear systems provide a continuous readout of the car’s position throughout the lift’s entire travel. Mentre i sensori magnetici forniscono informazioni "a impulsi" solo in corri-
