La loro peculiarità è certamente la resistenza all’usura, la facilità di manutenzione e l’alta ver- satilità. Basti pensare che si possono produrre da porte piccolissime per montavivande fino a portoni a 2 a 4 o a 6 battenti per grandi montacarichi e monta palcoscenici, con finestrature piccole o grandi. Solitamente sono prodotte in lamiera tamburata ma l’ac- cresciuta sensibilità estetica ha fatto sì che anche le porte a battente possano offrire un alto grado di personalizzazio- ne con un’attenzione crescente verso un design moderno e accattivante.
