69 The EN 81-20 standard identifies the details of the procedure of tests with the pendulum. In Figure 11 (in reference to the standard), the fall height and point of impact are proposed for the various types of doors. All installed door panels with such devices shall pass a pendulum impact test as specified in 5.3.5.3.4 a) at the points of impact according to Table 5 and Figure 11 [ omissis] in the worst possible condition of failure of the normal guide element. The devices for holding the panel (s) in place are a me- chanical means of preventing the door panels from leav- ing their guides which can be either an additional compo- nent or a part of the panel / suspension. 7.2.3.2 Applying, a manual pressure (without tools), at the most unfa- vourable point, of 150 N in the opening direction of the leaf (s) of the horizontally sliding doors and of the folding doors, the clearances defined in 7.1 may be greater than 6 mm, but must not be over: a) 30 mm for side opening doors; b) 45 mm in total for center opening doors. 5.3.5.3.3 Applying, a manual pressure at the most unfavourable point, of 150 N in the the opening direction of the guide leaf (s) of horizontally sliding doors and folding doors, the clear- ances defined in point 5.3.1 may be greater than 6 mm, but must not exceed: a) 30 mm for side opening doors; b) 45 mm in total for center opening doors. 7.2.3.3 Door panels made of glass must be installed as to withstand the pressure provided by this standard, without damaging the glass fastening. In doors with panels larger than those established in paragraph 7.6.2, laminated glass must be used and they must also with- stand the impact tests with the pendulum, described in Appendix J. After the tests, the safety function of the doors must remain un- changed. Deleted NEW 5.3.5.3.5 Glass doors / frames must use laminated glass. 7.2.3.4 The fastening of the glass in the doors must be such the fastened glass will not move in case of lowering. 5.3.5.3.6 The fastening of the glass in the doors must be such the fastened glass will not move in case of lowering. 7.2.3.5 The glass panels must have the following information: a) name of the supplier and trademark; b) type of glass; c) thickness (for example 8/0,76/8 mm). 5.3.5.3.7 The glass panels must have the following information: a) name of the supplier and trademark; b) type of glass; c) thickness (for example 8/0,76/8 mm).
