Trascorsi tre anni faremo il punto della situazione e se verrà confermata la correttezza del testo della ST, il documento potrà essere trasformato innorma, altrimenti si potrà scegliere se confermarlo per ancora tre anni o addirittura ritirarlo. systems themselves, with consequent leakage of red dust that can be visually detected on traditional ropes and by increasing the background noise in a magneto-inductive test “; 2) rope diameter reduction, to evaluate it the ST proposes measurement. For all three evaluation methods (visual examination, optional magneto-inductive test, and measurement) the TS provides detailed information. In particular, for the visual examination, which must cover the entire length of the ropes, indications are provided relating to the level of lighting, how to conduct the local visual examination and the general visual examination. As for the measurement of the diameter of the rope, the ST, in addition to indicating the accuracy of the instrument used, provides practical information on how to measure each section. Particular attention must be paid to the sections near the terminal connections and to the sections that pass more frequently on one or more pulleys that cannot be controlled with the magneto-inductive detector and therefore require an accurate visual check. The TS reports many photographs and tables that illustrate rejection criteria to offer the maintenance technician objective references. How often should the ropes be checked? The ST specifies that the verification must be carried out in accordance with the frequency indicated in the installer’s instructions and in compliance with paragraph 4 of Article 15 of Presidential Decree 162/99 and subsequent amendments; in particular, the visual inspection and measurements must be carried out every time the ropes are checked, while themagnetoinductive test must be carried out according to the frequency indicated in the installation installer’s instructions or, in the absence of indications , with biennial frequency in the first ten years of the life of the ropes and then annually from the eleventh year of life onwards. The magneto-inductive test during the installation of the cables is also recommended. Appendix B is important as it explains how to prevent rejection criteria from appearing too quickly. First of all, managing and checking the rope is a must. That is why, in Appendix B there are indications, for example, on how the ropes must be unwound, as they are often damaged even before being installed, on how they must be protected by lubrication with specific products to improve the traction capacity. How often should the ropes be lubricated? Every 250 thousand runs or whenever the ropes appear dry. The concept of fair tensioning was also introduced in the TS, which affects not only the rope’s lifecycle and the traction capacity but also the of conservation of the pulleys and the noise of the system during normal operation. The Technical Specification UNI / TS 11807, as established by the UNI CEI EN 54020: 2007 - Standardization and related activities. General vocabulary, it is a document provisionally adopted at national level (in the case in question byUNI) andmade available to the public in order to acquire the necessary experience deriving from its application. After three years we will take stock of the situation and if the accuracy of the text of the ST is conformed the document can be transformed into the standard, or it will be possible to choose whether to confirm it for another three years or withdraw it.
