WORK RELATED STRESS Another mandatory risk analysis is work-related stress of our workers, who may suffer from working conditions for specific reasons, such as mobbing, or others related to psychological health, or, because for foreigners unable to integrate into the environment, perhaps due to a language barrier. For this purpose, the use of special questionnaires is recommended, at the end of which the company achieves a certain score which, below certain values, must be improved with appropriate actions. MULETS, VEHICLES WITH CRANES AND VEHICLES If the company owns forklifts or vehicles with cranes, but does not have the required staff, our workers may find themselves manoeuvring these vehicles. In these cases, interested parties must attend special courses. We also believe that all employees need to drive vehicles, which is not a trivial fact, because in reality most of the accidents happen on the road. It is therefore necessary to keep the vehicles in a good state of maintenance and to ensure that the staff drive correctly, in particular by avoiding alcohol consumption, not to mention drugs. LONE WORKERS As for lone workers, in Italy their risks are not specifically dealt with by law and its assessment and the adoption of corrective, decisive, measures are completely entrusted to the employer. In the lift sector, for many years, installers or maintenance technicians have worked alone, not only because it is often sufficient, but also because the costs of the combination, traditionally made up of an expert and an apprentice, has unsustainable costs in this day and age. It must be said, moreover, that working in pairs, or in groups, creates risks that lone workers don’t run. In the past, when there were two workers in the shaft, often only one controlled the car (perhaps with the call buttons in the car!) And the other had no control over its movements, and could only trust the professionalism of his co-worker. The current problem is above all the event of feeling unwell during work, and the absence of immediate assistance. It must be said that, in our work, automatic devices of the “man down” type, which intervene to ask for help when the worker is an a horizontal position, are not suitable, as we work with even particular postures. Of course, every technician today has a cell phone, so in the event of a problem he / she has the chance to ask for help.
