37 to the car roof is opened by means of a key; c) be a bi-stable switch; d) be restored together with the restoration of the security system. The attempt by the legislation to reduce the incidence of the human factor with regard to the risk of crushing at the ends of the shaft is evident, but it is essential that the operator who works on the car roof, as in the pit, is adequately trained and informed, aware of what he is doing, focused and undistracted. In fact, the three laws of the lift, which I have developed based on the three laws of robotics by Asimov, and which I report below, are valid and have effect to the extent that the operator also does his part, respecting and being aware of the risks that are inherently present in the lift. THE THREE LAWS OF THE LIFT (ACCORDING TO PAOLO TATTOLI) 1. A lift cannot harm a human being nor can it allow a human being to receive damage due to the failure of its safety devices. 2. A lift must respond to commands given by human beings, as long as such commands do not conflict with the First Law. 3. A lift must protect its condition of regular operation, as long as its safeguarding does not conflict with the First or Second Law. d) essere ripristinato assieme al ripristino del sistema di sicurezza.
