ANACAM MAGAZINE - n. 4 ottobre | dicembre 2022

gamento verso fornitori pari a 105. *Docente Università Cattolica, Dottore Commercialista 14 practices, as the critical threshold is represented by exceeding a ratio of 5 or more. Member companies are faced with the need to manage working capital, which has a growing absorption due to inventories and due to the payment terms granted to customers. Therefore, the associates must resort to financial leverage, which is confirmed in 2021 by the difference between the average 161 days of customer collection against an average of 105 days of payment to suppliers. In essence, about 2 months of working capital must be financed in a context of increasing cost of money, adding a potential burden that could erode the net result from 2022. In the analysis of associates’ solidity, also in terms of return on capital, in the ratio between net profit and equity (technically ROE, i.e. return on equity), the associates in aggregate show an average parameter of 21%. The parameter is significant of the income capacity and equity balance of the associates, even compared to a sector that showed an average value of 17% in 2021. CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, we recall the consistency of the group of Anacam associates within the sector, as they represent about a third of the total turnover and about a quarter for the employees involved. This aspect is certainly positive, since being part of an association like Anacam is an element of security and stability in uncertain times such as the current one: it is essential to have support in terms of technical consultancy, as is training and specialization of the associates for monitoring the variables in both economic and financial terms, as presented in this brief summary. Lastly, it should be recalled that during the three-year period 2019-2021 the companies associated with Anacam did not experience large fluctuations of average aggregate data also due to the Covid effects, both in economic and equity terms. This figure demonstrates a long-lasting solidity that allows us to face current challenges which above all reflect the financial uncertainty of customers (often increasingly bad payers) and the need to continue investing in personnel training and technology to maintain the solid positions achieved and for possible further growth. *Professor at UniversitàCattolica, CharteredAccountant i l settore in ci fre d i A l e s s a n d r o C e r i a n i *
