As of 2025, Interlift will in fact have a new location. The ‘New House of Lifts’ will be the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg, in the north of Bavaria. This was decided by the board of directors of VFA-Interlift e.V. together with the Interlift Advisory Board, justifying the move with the need for more exhibition space. The news of the move to Nuremberg did not seem to upset the exhibitors present in Augsburg, on the contrary. While the trade fair was still in progress, more than 120 exhibitors registered for the next event; in December the number of exhibitors confirming their presence in Nuremberg rose to more than 150, which means that more than one third of the available space has already been booked. Satisfaction about the registrations received so far was expressed by AFAG representative Joachim Kalsdorf who, in view of his forthcoming retirement, will take over the organisation of the trade fair in Nuremberg together with his successor Michael Löffler. Meanwhile, Interlift 2023 has returned to pre-Covid levels with around 19,000 experts from over 110 countries and more than 500 exhibitors. According to data released by the trade fair organisation, 90 per cent of the exhibitors have confirmed their willingness to participate in Interlift 2025, only one per cent have no plans to do so for the time being. The verdict on the German trade fair by the international trade visitors was positive overall: 93% rated the exhibitors’ range of products and services as “very good” to “satisfactory” and 92% intend to visit the Interlift again. As part of the VfA Forum, the SBS Lift Forum 2023 was held for the first time on 17 October, which was attended by Luca Incoronato and Paolo Tattoli together with Massimo Bezzi (EFESME), Andrea Raffaelli (SBS) and Esfandiar Gharibaan (CEN TC 10). The Forum discussed the role of OTTIMA ACCOGLIENZA PER LA NUOVA SEDE DI INTERLIFT DA PARTE DEGLI ESPOSITORI. È GIÀ STATO OPZIONATO PIÙ DI UN TERZO DELLA SUPERFICIE ESPOSITIVA Excellent reception for the new Interlift venue by exhibitors.
