Come soluzione ai casi di fortissima disabilità visiva THE most fascinating and recent innovation, in the design and production of lift control panels, has been the introduction of touchscreen systems. A touchscreen can replace traditional buttons in the most advanced cars and transform the interaction with the lift into a new sensory experience. With its bright colors and high-resolution images, the touchscreen has become the reference choice for residential lifts and high-traffic buildings and structures, such as airports, stations, shopping centers and museums. The large tempered glass screens allow to associate specific images to each floor and highlight the building’s distinctive areas, such as the panoramic restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, the airport’s business lounge, the train platform. These highimpact graphic solutions are absolutely not in conflict with the recommendations on accessibility to lifts, in particular for people with visual disabilities. It is precisely the possibility of expanding the size of the traditional button and integrating its function with a complete graphic representation that allows touchscreens to meet the specific needs of people suffering from visual difficulties. The visually impaired can certainly benefit more from the presence of large active surfaces on the screen, where the brightness and contrast multiply the perceptibility of the button and the visual and auditory feedback, confirming activation, is expanded. As a solution to cases of very severe visual impairment or permanent blindness, we must remember that, also based on current European and American regulations (EN 81-70 and ASME 17-1), all touchscreens must be accompanied by traditional LE PULSANTIERE IN VETRO CON TECNOLOGIA TOUCH MESCOLANO GRAFICHE ACCATTIVANTI, MAGGIORE PULIZIA E MIGLIORE PERCEPIBILITÀ.
