La loro principale preoccupazione è spesso legata alla difficoltà di comunicare verbalmente il proprio bisogno di assistenza e alla mancanza di strumenti di comunicazione alternativi e adatti alle loro esigenze. In caso di emergenza, è essenziale, quindi, che il sistema di chiamata funzioni correttamente e sia collegato a una centrale operativa.
