Nel capolavoro di Christopher Nolan del 2010, Inception, l’ascensore rappresenta una metafora onirica. In questa pellicola, infatti, il protagonista, interpretato da Leonardo Di Caprio, sfrutta un ascensore per navigare tra i diversi livelli dei sogni: premendo i pulsanti appaiono i ricordi che desidera rivivere. Un’immagine a dir poco affascinante e simbolica. GREY’S ANATOMY La stessa autrice della celebre serie tv ha sottolineato come “gli ascensori occupino un ruolo simbolico e fondamentale in Grey’s Anatomy”. Sono il luogo prediletto dell’amore, della passione e dei momenti salienti di ogni vicenda sentimentale. Non a caso, infatti, il protagonista delle prime stagioni, il neurochirurgo Derek Shepherd, si è proposto all’amata Meredith proprio nell’ascensore dell’ospedale universitario di Seattle. They are the favourite place of love, passion and the highlights of every love affair. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the protagonist of the first seasons, neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd proposed to his beloved Meredith in the very lift of Seattle’s university hospital.
