One of the greatest fears concerns the use of lifts and the possibility of being stuck in the car without being able to communicate with the outside world. To meet the needs of those who live with a hearing impairment, as well as those who do not speak the local language, Codebò Spa presented Magic Mirror, a solution that combines technology, inclusiveness, and safety. The prototype was installed in the lift in the library of the La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre in Turin as part of the ‘Humanities Conservation’ universal accessibility project, financed with PNRR funds. Although the system was already available on the market, thanks to the collaboration with partners Esse-ti, LUVE Group and Telesan it was possible to use it for the first time to specifically support people with hearing disabilities in emergency lift situations. AN INCLUSIVE AND MULTILINGUAL SYSTEM Magic Mirror represents a significant step forward in overcoming the limitations of traditional alarm systems that rely mainly on voice communication.
