EUROPA DI ELETTRA BILIBIO* 78 of the Federation, with a solemn award ceremony dedicated to some of the people who contributed to the creation and development of EFESME: Oronzo Centoducati, Elio Defusto, Michele Mazzarda, Alice Lazioli for Confartigianato Imprese, Fabrizio Monaco of Confartigianato representing Bruno Venditti, Ivan Ferrarini for Giovanni Ferrarini and Andrea Codebò for ANACAM. The meeting was also an opportunity to recognise the contribution of the experts who have represented the operational heart of EFESME over the years - Giuseppe Iotti, Ivan Ferrarini, Marco Cogliati, Tiziano Caresani, Paolo Tattoli and Luca Incoronato - with a special mention for Luciano Faletto, a leading figure in the world of standardisation, for his constant and valuable contribution. The celebrations reached their peak in Nuremberg on 16 October, before officially concluding in Brussels on 12 November. THE NUREMBERG EVENT In Nuremberg, the EFESME stand proved to be a hub for discussion on key issues for the future of the sector, from digitalisation to sustainability, to the evolution of European standardisation in support of lift SMEs. President Massimo Bezzi retraced the evolution of EFESME from its foundation in 2005 to its current role as an authoritative interlocutor at European level. Joachim Kalsdorf (AFAG Senior Project Manager), Achim Hütter (VfA Chairman) and Thilo and Henning Könicke (AFAG Managing Directors) then spoke, recalling the long and fruitful collaboration between EFESME, AFAG and VfA. In closing, Secretary General José María Compagni thanked the participants for their constant collaboration and trust over the years, emphasising that effective representation of SMEs is the result of a shared commitment. The evening ended with a toast, a simple but meaningful gesture to honour twenty years of shared commitment. THE BRUSSELS EVENT The celebrations concluded on 12 November in Brussels with a dedicated event that brought together members of the Federation, technical experts, representatives of SMEs in the lift sector, European partners and representatives of the European Union institutions in the city where EFESME works daily to protect the interests of the companies it represents. President Massimo Bezzi opened the evening by recalling the significance of this milestone and highlighting EFESME's role in ensuring balanced representation of SMEs in European decision-making processes, particularly in the areas of regulation and standardisation. Speakers included Brando Benifei, Member of the European Parliament, speaking remotely; Gunilla Almgren, President of Small Business Standards; Jon Echanove, Secretary General of SBS; Barbara Bonvissuto, Director of the European Commission's GROW H - Construction, Machinery and i fondatori della Federazione, con una solenne cerimonia di premiazione dedicata ad alcune delle persone che hanno contribuito alla nascita e allo sviluppo di EFESME: Oronzo Centoducati, Elio Defusto, Michele Mazzarda, Alice Lazioli per Confartigianato Imprese, Fabrizio Monaco di Confartigianato in rappresentanza di Bruno Venditti, Ivan Ferrarini per Giovanni Ferrarini e Andrea Codebò per ANACAM. L’incontro è stato anche l’occasione per riconoscere il contributo degli esperti che nel tempo hanno rappresentato il cuore operativo di EFESME - Giuseppe Iotti, Ivan Ferrarini, Marco Cogliati, Tiziano Caresani, Paolo Tattoli e Luca Incoronato - con una menzione speciale per Luciano Faletto, figura di riferimento nel mondo della normazione, per il suo apporto costante e qualificato. Il percorso celebrativo ha quindi raggiunto il suo momento centrale a Norimberga il 16 ottobre, prima di concludersi ufficialmente a Bruxelles il 12 novembre. L’EVENTO DI NORIMBERGA A Norimberga, lo stand di EFESME si è confermato come uno spazio di confronto sui temi chiave per il futuro del settore, dalla digitalizzazione alla sostenibilità, fino all’evoluzione della normazione europea a sostegno delle PMI ascensoristiche. Il presidente Massimo Bezzi ha ripercorso l’evoluzione di EFESME dalla sua fondazione nel 2005 fino all’attuale ruolo di interlocutore autorevole a livello europeo. Sono quindi intervenuti Joachim Kalsdorf (AFAG Senior Project Manager), Achim Hütter (Presidente di VfA) e Thilo e Henning Könicke (Direttori Generali AFAG) che hanno ricordato la lunga e proficua collaborazione tra EFESME, AFAG e VfA. In chiusura, il segretario generale José María Compagni ha ringraziato i partecipanti per la collaborazione costante e la fiducia dimostrata nel tempo, sottolineando come la rappresentanza efficace delle PMI sia il risultato di un impegno condiviso. La serata si è conclusa con un brindisi, un gesto semplice ma carico di significato, per onorare vent’anni di impegno condiviso. L’EVENTO DI BRUXELLES Le celebrazioni si sono concluse il 12 novembre a Bruxelles, con un evento dedicato che ha riunito membri della Federazione, esperti tecnici, rappresentanti delle PMI del settore ascensoristico, partner europei e rappresentanti delle istituzioni dell’Unione europea nella città in cui EFESME opera quotidianamente per tutelare gli interessi delle imprese che rappresenta. Il presidente Massimo Bezzi ha aperto la serata richiamando il significato di questo traguardo ed evidenziando il ruolo di EFESME nel garantire una rappresentanza equilibrata delle PMI nei processi decisionali europei, in particolare in ambito normativo e di standardizzazione.
