ANACAM - National Association of Lifts Manufacturing and Maintenance Companies
ANACAM – The National Association of Lifts Manufacturing and Maintenance Companies, represents over 400 industrial and craft companies operating in the lift systems sector (lifts, hoists, escalators and moving walkways, etc.).
The Association, established in 1971 and divided into 18 regional sections, includes all the components of the supply chain: manufacturers, installers, maintenance technicians, designers and providers of specialist services to businesses.
The associated companies undertake the maintenance of over 50 percent of national lifts, estimated at 900 thousand units, and employ about 12 thousand highly qualified technical-professional employees
ANACAM:
manages relations with the competent national and European institutions in the interest of the Associates;
promotes the economic development of the sector by preparing tools to support the companies;
provides advice to companies on technical, regulatory, tax and legal issues specific to the sector.
ANACAM experts play an active role in the Italian (UNI), European (CEN) and international (ISO) technical standardization bodies and in the Lift Directive Working Group.
The Association fostered the establishment of the European Federation of Elevator Small and Medium Enterprises (EFESME), based in Brussels..
