Qui è essenziale un adeguato with the car or its floor, and which do not interfere with fixed parts, such as the rail brackets. Obviously, a helmet is required, also because of the risk of objects falling from above. The risk of falling from portable ladders, or even retractable ladders, and scaffolding, the use of which is mistakenly taken for granted, should not be underestimated. There is also a very delicate aspect, in the case of lone workers: once suspended, thanks to the PPE, it is necessary to be released from the position within about a quarter of an hour, or a deadly fate may await. We will circle back to this point. INTERFERENCE A very general risk on construction sites is interference with workers from other companies. From a paperwork point of view it should be described and solved by the PSC (Site Safety Plan) written by the site owner, but in practice the problem can be more complicated, and staff must be trained to pay maximum attention while working in these situations. There are also further bureaucratic and concrete problems on this point: first of all, if ordinary or extraordinary maintenance work is carried out in private houses or condominiums, the presence of a PSC should not be expected. It may be that in these cases there is no risk of interference with other workers in the strict sense but, even worse, there may be with ordinary people who live there and pass by the work area. Therefore, adequate confinement (by barriers or otherwise) of the work space is essential. It also must be always suitably illuminated, even though working 29
