Il fabbisogno energetico annuale di questo impianto, pari criteria for evaluating the average car travel, indicated with hm, as a function of the maximum one, and its average load. The first value, hm, is approximated in Table 7 as a function of actual maximum travel. For two stops, of course, hm coincides with the distance between the two floors, while for more than three stops, different values are given to obtain it as a fraction of the full travel h, depending on the category of use of the building, from 0.49 (for 1 A or 2 A) to 0.39 (for 6 A or 7 A). This means that, for example, in a building where the distance between the extreme floors is 100 m, the average travel is approximated to 39 m. For the average load, the technical specification proposes Table 8, which, depending on a number of different elements to be considered relating to the type of installation (geared or gearless electric lift with counterweight, or hydraulic) gives values from 6% to 12% of the capacity. The same table presents the values of the other six parameters used in the formulas for the various types of lift. The total energy requirement is the sum of what emerges from this calculation with those values estimated for the stationary and standby phases. In the case of several collectively operated systems in the same building, a 15% reduction in the sum of the energy requirements is estimated. A mention to Part 7 on lifting platforms, which were not covered by ISO 27425-2. The use categories are different from those of lifts because platforms, by their nature, can only serve particular buildings such as single-family buildings or slightly taller, and health or care facilities that are not very high; therefore, there are only 4 use categories, with traffic that is in any case low or medium (ranging from an average number of daily trips from 5 to 20, therefore just under 8,000 trips per year). The formulas are the same as those used for lifts, except that, since we are talking about low travels and capacities, the average travel for more than two stops approximates to 67% of the full travel and the average load to 15% of the full load. The standard proposes as an example an electric counterweighted lift, gearless with inverter, load capacity of 480 kg, speed of 0.63 m/s, travel of 17 m, six stops, a building in use category 2 A, i.e. low traffic, with an average 35 trips per day. The daily energy requirement is 2.37 kWh, of which 2.27 kWh (approx. 96%) is for powering the control, signalling, and lighting equipment, and 0.1 kWh (101 Wh precisely) for movement. It was therefore calculated that each travel of 8.3 m required 2.9 Wh on average, with a total system efficiency of 0.7, which is consistent with the assessment of an ideal consumption per travel in a conservative range of approximately 2 Wh, and allows the average load to be estimated at approximately 90 kg, equivalent to 18% of the total. The annual energy requirement of this system of 2.37*365 = 865 kWh per year can be declared to the client. As a matter of interest, one can calculate that this lift would be in energy efficiency class B according to ISO 25745-2, if we roughly assume that it travels for about a quarter of an hour per day (a little less than half a minute per trip, taking normativa di Giuseppe Iotti
