77 OGGI, parlare di innovazione nei servizi è abbastanza abituale, ma circa 40 anni fa era un’altra cosa. Perché sì, esattamente nel settembre 1986 si è verificata una notevole innovazione nel nostro mondo: nasceva il Consorzio Imprese Ascensori di Milano. Eravamo nel pieno degli anni della cosiddetta “Milano da bere”, una città che inizia la sua trasformazione da città industriale a città terziaria, aperta al mondo, a tutti i fusi orari e con due tipi di utenti notturni: chi non dorme perché lavora e chi non dorme perché si diverte. Questo continuo movimento ha richiesto un ampliamento delle ore di lavoro di molte attività, fra le quali anche quella della manutenzione ascensori. È cresciuta la domanda di reperibilità e intervento per il “salvataggio” di persone bloccate in ascensore: il rischio di non poter partecipare al rito notturno di lavoro o divertimento andava coperto.
