23 an informative appendix (Appendix L); • Appendix B concerning the triangular key has been removed, as it is already regulated by EN 81-20; • a new Appendix K has been introduced, dedicated to the interface between the machine and the building, dealing with aspects such as the ventilation of machine spaces and lift shafts, and the exchange of information between the system manufacturer and the building owner. The standard remains an essential reference for the design and construction of accessible goods lifts for loading and unloading goods. However, in special cases (such as ATEX environments, seismic conditions, extreme environments or the transport of dangerous goods), additional requirements will need to be incorporated. As already provided for in the 2010 version, the new EN 8131 does not apply to a number of specific installations and conditions. These include, for example: • goods lifts with automatic loading/unloading systems, with multiple lifting machines, intended for bulk or mobile loads; • equipment intended for special uses (construction sites, ships, mines, military or temporary use); • installations outside the specified environmental limits (temperature below +5°C or above +40°C). Other aspects not covered are fire propagation, radiation and the use of translucent materials (with the exception of inspection windows on doors). Finally, it should be noted that the standard does not cover noise and vibrations, as these are not considered significant hazards for this type of system, which is intended solely for the transport of goods. * Convenor of CEN TC10/WG7- WG8 - WG13 recenti norme europee (come la EN 81-20). Tuttavia, in casi particolari (come ambienti ATEX, condizioni sismiche, ambienti estremi o trasporto di merci pericolose), sarà necessario integrare requisiti aggiuntivi. * Convenor CEN TC10/WG7- WG8 - WG13 LA EN 81-31:2024 INTRODUCE UNA STRUTTURA CONFORME AGLI STANDARD PIÙ RECENTI, NUOVI CRITERI DI ACCESSIBILITÀ, REQUISITI TECNICI RIVISTI E UNA SPECIFICA APPENDICE DEDICATA ALL’INTERFACCIA TRA MACCHINA ED EDIFICIO EN 81-31:2024 introduces a structure in line with the latest standards, new accessibility criteria, revised technical requirements and a specific appendix dedicated to the interface between the machine and the building
