After the greetings of the head of the national office Luca Incoronato, Alessandra Recchia, councillor Anacam Service for training and coordinator of the ANACAM ACADEMY project, took the floor to underline how the numbers of the member companies are sufficient to start a class, but it is possible to enroll for the next course which should take place in January 2022.

Monica Malavasi of Formazione Network illustrated the objectives and following steps of ANACAM ACADEMY which was created with the aim of including younger people in the lift companies associated with Anacam. To this end, ANACAM ACADEMY will provide participants with basic knowledge thanks to the support of technical teachers, experts in the sector. After a 160-hour course, of which 80% online and 20% in person, the young attendants will be placed in the company with a two-month administration contract. The tutor, placed by the company, will have the opportunity to follow the students and evaluate them in the field.

The research and selection of young people is entrusted to Orienta.

The training, which also includes mandatory fire safety and first aid courses, is free. Companies have to take on only the administration contract.

The first course starts on October 18th. The meeting ended with the passionate testimony of two young attendants who took part in a training course three years prior to the very similar ANACAM ACADEMY, who were hired by RIAM and who in June 2021 already obtained their license. The two young technicians, one from Veneto with a high school diploma and the other from Sicily with an agricultural expert diploma, explained how fundamental the course was to understand the working context of a lift company and how absolutely happy they are with their highly professionalizing and dynamic work. Being an elevator operator is a profession that offers many prospects for growth and satisfaction, they explained. What did they like most about the course? The students replied that the course gave them an extra gear, a good wealth of knowledge and awareness. In addition, they stressed the importance of the communication lessons thanks to which they are able to better interact with more experienced colleagues and customers.
