Lift instructions and special tools, access and availability: a discussion at the SBS Lift Forum on Zoom.

Next 23 November, from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the Zoom platform, the 2022 edition of the SBS Lift Forum will be held. This year, it will address the important topic of special tools, operating instructions, and the need for them to be constantly available ‘in time and space’ at all facilities. The Forum is organised by SBS in cooperation with EFESME.
Harmonised standards for the lift sector should also help to ensure a level playing field between economic operators dealing with lifts, in particular SMEs. It is hoped that specific references to tools can already be included in the next editions of ISO 8100. For this reason, representatives from the European Commission, the European standardisation body CEN, Notified Bodies and SMEs themselves have been invited to attend the Forum as speakers. SBS Secretary General Maitane Olabarria Uzquiano and EFESME President Massimo Bezzi will open the Forum. On behalf of Italy, Paolo Tattoli, Ivan Ferrarini, and Patrick Cox will participate.
Given the importance of the topic, an interpreter will translate the speakers' speeches from English into Italian. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in Italian via the platform chat. The questions will then be translated and forwarded to the expert concerned. The event is open to all and is free of charge.
