Modifications on existing lifts: Anacam produces a cartoon

The lift has a very long life cycle and therefore, over time, some modifications and replacement of some components may be necessary. In Italy, the state of the art for the modification of existing lifts is represented by the UNI 10411 family of standards, which are constantly updated with the aim of raising the level of safety to current standards as far as possible.

On 30 September last, the new version of UNI 10411:1/2 was published. Anacam decided to create a cartoon that communicates the main innovations contained in the standards to end users in a light but timely manner. The protagonist, a maintenance technician wearing an Anacam helmet, explains in broad terms what the modernisation of a system installed before 2000 entails to those who use lifts every day and who may not know that there is a way to eliminate the step that forms at the landing, that it is possible not to close the lift doors while entering or leaving the system, or that if you get locked in the car, you can call for help directly to the maintenance company by simply pressing the alarm button on the control panel. Of course, the cartoon has only an informative-disclosure purpose. For the correct application and completeness of the arguments, reference should always be made to the technical standard.
