ANACAM ACADEMY: practical exercises kick off

From theory to practice. Since 15 November, all ANACAM ACADEMY students have been in the classroom. In fact, the part of the programme relating to the technical maintenance area has begun with practical exercises at RIAM Ascensori in Verona. The participants will have the opportunity to measure themselves with a six-monthly test and then proceed, assisted by the engineer of a notified body, with a biennial one. They will also have the opportunity to touch the components, to ‘work’ on a lift, to get to know the head technician of the Verona-based company that is hosting them and to learn from his long experience.

During this phase of the in-person training, the students will attend courses on first aid, fire prevention, safety, and third category PPE. They will then be ready to enter at the beginning of December, with all the necessary certificates, in the associated companies throughout Italy that have adhered to the project.

‘It is a great emotion to see them all live. ANACAM ACADEMY is an exceptional training experience. We hope to be able to take the project to technical institutes as well,’ explained Alessandra Recchia, Anacam Service councillor delegated to training and coordinator of the ANACAM ACADEMY project.

‘The feedback so far from the students has been very positive,’ Alessandra Recchia further explained, ‘despite the difficulty of following the theoretical lessons online. The online meetings have been extremely motivating and have allowed them to start discovering the world of lift companies thanks to the testimonies of business witnesses, some entrepreneurs and technicians from the companies where they will be working over the next two months. The young people have a great desire to test themselves in the field and to work as a team with experienced technicians. The demand and participation from the students is really encouraging and bodes well for the future'. This is the first edition of ANACAM ACADEMY, we are already ready for the next ones.
