ANACAM 2025: GEE, an increasingly international and innovation-oriented trade fair
During the 54th Anacam National Assembly, Paolo Calgaro of Fiera Milano took the floor to present the new features of the 2025 edition of GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition, the international trade fair dedicated to vertical and horizontal mobility, which will be held in Milan from 19 to 21 November 2025.
Among the significant new features announced by Paolo Calgaro is the Anacam collective, which will see the Association's direct participation in the exhibition with a shared exhibition space with some member companies in Hall 10 (Anacam will be at Stand D36). Numerous member companies will take part in the exhibition with their own stands.
Anacam, which will also be a partner for the 2025 edition, will also promote two themed events focusing on sustainable mobility and training and safety.
Calgaro pointed out that GEE is an integral part of a larger project, MIBA – Milan International Building Alliance, which brings together four events dedicated to construction and building technologies: ME-Made Expo (construction and building envelopes), Sicurezza (intrusion and fire protection), Smart Building Expo (technological integration in buildings) and, of course, GEE.
GEE was founded three years ago with the aim of offering a broader view of the supply chain, promoting dialogue between related sectors, and strengthening opportunities for networking and innovation. The 2023 edition of MIBA saw the participation of over 80,000 visitors from more than 100 countries, with one particularly significant statistic: 74% of visitors were decision-makers. Another distinctive feature was the high level of internationalisation, with a quarter of exhibitors coming from abroad.
Calgaro proudly pointed out that Fiera Milano is also an official partner of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games and will host some of the competitions in its pavilions. This will involve significant infrastructure investments that will also affect the construction sector, with potential positive repercussions for vertical mobility operators.
The 2025 edition of GEE will once again be held in pavilions 6 and 10, which will be easily accessible by underground, rail link and direct connections to Malpensa and Linate airports. As with the previous edition, a single ticket will grant access to all exhibitions.
Calgaro then announced the institutional support obtained through new sponsorships from the Lombardy Region, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, and the Milan Polytechnic.
Another strong point will be the international buyer programme, which provides for hospitality entirely at the expense of the organisation for over 400 foreign operators, including approximately 120 from the lift sector, including installers, maintenance technicians and distributors.
Finally, he presented the “MIBA Levante” project, scheduled to take place in Bari in November 2026, aimed at strengthening GEE's presence in Southern Italy and the Mediterranean basin.
With 37% of new exhibitors already confirmed, GEE 2025 promises to be an edition full of opportunities, thanks in part to an extensive promotional package for the physical and digital visibility of participating companies.
The presentation and recording of Paolo Calgaro's speech, together with those of all the other speakers, are available in the “Proceedings and Meetings” section, where you will also find a link to the photo gallery.
