The first 2025 issue of ANACAM MAGAZINE is online

The first 2025 issue of ANACAM MAGAZINE is now online. The magazine opens with an editorial by national President Andrea Codebò, who emphasises the strategic importance of the public investments recently approved by the European Union to encourage employment for young people and women, with tax breaks that may also prove to be a concrete opportunity for lift companies looking for qualified personnel. Ample space is dedicated to company management, with in-depth analysis of the annual balance sheet, understood not only as an accounting fulfilment but as a real tool for company governance. Through a detailed analysis of financial indicators and the new obligations introduced by EU Directive 2025/25, we reflect on how SMEs must face the future with greater economic awareness and transparency, also to improve dialogue with the banking system. It also addresses the chronic difficulty companies have in coping with late payments, a phenomenon that compromises liquidity and slows down growth in the sector. Hence the reflection on the need for new strategies to select customers and protect financial sustainability. Among the new regulatory changes, the new obligation to insure against catastrophic risks is analysed, which also partly affects companies in the sector.

Space is also given to the legal and operational aspects related to the installation of video cameras in condominium lifts, a delicate issue that combines privacy and security. There is also a look at technology, with an article on planned obsolescence and its implications for the maintenance and life cycle of installations. The “curiosity” column explores the relationship between lifts, superstitions and popular culture.

The magazine also hosts the announcement of the 54th Anacam National Assembly, scheduled to be held in Rome from 12 to 14 June 2025: an elective and strategic appointment, during which the key issues for the future of the association and the sector between tradition, innovation and safety will be addressed.

One article tells of the acquisition of a Belgian/Dutch group by an associated distribution company as part of an expansion strategy in Europe.

“If the two-way voice communication device does not work, should the lift be stopped or not? What are the most common problems that cause these devices to fail?” These two questions in the “true or false” column are answered by two experts in the field. Enjoy your reading!
