Anacam Magazine n. 3/2025: blackout, the lesson from Spain

The new issue of Anacam Magazine is now online, featuring analyses, insights, and testimonials on topics of great relevance to the lift industry.

The magazine opens with words from the new national president of Anacam, Piero Mosanghini, who emphasises the importance of training and innovation as strategic levers for the future of businesses.

The Il Punto column reflects on the ability of companies to move from resilience to anti-fragility, transforming difficulties into opportunities for growth.

An extensive dossier is dedicated to blackouts, with an account of the events that affected Spain last April and the repercussions on the sector. But what would happen to lifts during an extended blackout in Italy? The magazine examines the technical effects, emergency systems, the operation of a call centre, the current limits of maintenance and operational criticalities in the event of a prolonged power outage, and the role of insurance policies in protecting companies.

The Association section is dedicated to the 54th Anacam National Assembly, which was attended by over 350 operators and saw the election of the new president, Piero Mosanghini, and the new Board of Directors. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the main issues for the future of the sector: digitalisation, sustainability, safety, and training. Ample space was also given to the celebrations for EFESME's 20th anniversary, including awards to historical personalities and to Anacam for its support of the Federation and international events.

The Curiosities section tackles an unusual topic: the risks to lift technology posed by solar storms.

The section dedicated to Business Management highlights two topics: on the one hand, the importance of data management and CRM systems for improving organisation and customer relations; on the other, the experience of the short working week introduced in a member company in Florence as a model of organisational innovation.

The Case History section recounts the experience of a consortium in Milan that has innovated its on-call service, improving efficiency and operational continuity.

The Regulations section analyses the new European regulations AI Act, Data Act, and Cyber Resilience Act, and their implications for the lift sector.

The Sustainability section features the testimony of a member company in the province of Trento, which recounts its concrete commitment to governance, the environment, and people.
