The latest issue of ANACAM Magazine is now online

The latest issue of ANACAM Magazine addresses numerous topical issues affecting the entire supply chain. In the editorial, President Piero Mosanghini highlights the launch of the new Executive Board, which has placed training, young people and businesses at the heart of the association’s strategy to guide the sector towards future challenges, whilst also announcing that ANACAM’s 55th National Assembly will be held at the Chia Laguna Resort in Sardinia.

The ‘Il punto/The Point’ column offers an analysis of the tensions between the United States and China over rare earths and chips, which could also have repercussions on the lift industry and global supply chains.

Ample space is devoted to associative life. Among the new features is the launch of the first edition of the Anacam Product Awards, a competition designed to promote the products and solutions developed by member companies that manufacture components and complete systems, and provide specialist services. The magazine also reports on the relaunch of the ANACAM Youth Group, which presents itself with new faces, ideas and responsibilities, with the aim of strengthening the involvement of the new generation of entrepreneurs in the sector in the association’s activities.

The regulatory section offers various in-depth analyses. In particular, it covers the new EN 81-41:2024, a harmonised standard for lifting platforms, and EN 81-31:2024, which updates the design and installation criteria for permanently installed accessible goods lifts. The publication of standards EN 81-42 and EN 81-30 by CEN is also highlighted. Still on the regulatory front, an article analyses the changes introduced by Decree Law 159/2025 regarding workplace safety and innovation.

Another key focus is on training. The magazine examines the implications for businesses of the new State-Regions Agreement on training, whilst a feature is dedicated to the development of the ANACAM–ELIS project, which involves the opening of new training classrooms. An article is dedicated to the ‘Crescita Verticale’ entrepreneurial training programme.

There is no shortage of articles on business management and human resources. One article explores the value of strategic alliances between companies as a lever for continuity and growth, whilst other features cover the topics of employee benefits and supplementary healthcare, and the relationship between wellbeing and work.

The issue also devotes space to the sector’s European activities, with an article on ANACAM’s participation in the GEE and Interlift trade fairs and a special feature on the twenty years of activity of EFESME, the Federation representing lift SMEs at European level.

Among other content, one article analyses the results of research conducted by the Universities of Venice and Bologna on the relationship between lifts and hearing impairments, offering useful insights for improving the accessibility and safety of installations. The magazine concludes with a number of in-depth features and interesting facts, including an article explaining how the handrail on escalators works, as well as a tribute to Bruno Venditti, a figure who left his mark on the history of the lift industry.
